Bearable Psychology Services

Psychological Therapy

I provide psychological therapy for children, adolescents, and adults.

My areas of experience are autism, ADHD, anxiety, depression, suicidality, social challenges, emotional regulation, substance abuse and self-harm.

For children and adolescents, family based therapy may also be offered where clinically appropriate.

As a registered psychologist, I use first-hand and clinical experience to support people with a range of emotional, behavioural, and everyday challenges using practical, neuro-affirming, and tailored approaches.

This includes:

  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, or CBT, which helps people understand how thoughts, feelings, and behaviours influence each other.

  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, or DBT, which focuses on building skills in areas like emotional regulation, coping with distress, mindfulness, and relationships.

In practice, this means working together to understand what is going on, develop a clear treatment plan, and build strategies that are realistic and useful in everyday life.

Assessment & Diagnosis

I provide psychological assessment for children, adolescents, and adults, including cognitive, personality, and diagnostic assessment.

Assessment can help build a clearer understanding of a person’s strengths, challenges, and support needs, and may be helpful when exploring potential diagnosis such as ADHD, autism, personality disorder, learning differences, or broader psychological concerns.

My approach is thoughtful, neuro-affirming, and grounded in real life context, using clinical interviews, background information, tailored  assessment tools, and feedback to answer the referral question as clearly as possible.

Assessment includes a written report with practical recommendations to help.

I provide the assessment within my scope of practice and competency, while recognising that some more complex presentations may require multidisciplinary input or a referral onward.

Assessment fees are quoted individually depending on the type and complexity of the assessment and whether formal reporting is required.
